HOW TO HIDE A COLD SORE
Nobody likes to go out in public with a cold sore in their mouth. It’s embarrassing! Cold sores are inflamed blisters that are normally found near or in the mouth and are an infection contracted from the herpes simplex virus. People with this infection are often looking for ways to cover it up before heading out! Because so many stigmas are generally attached to it and people sometimes discriminate against someone who has developed the infection, they search and try all kinds of methods to remove it.
most methods to hide a cold sore
The most effective methods to cover up or hide a cold sore are:
- Using concealers. Concealers are good when it comes to hiding a cold sore. A person simply needs to choose a concealer that is similar to their skin tone and use a disposable Q-tip or another applicator to place a small dab of it over the sore. Dry concealers are the best option.
- Applying face powder is also a good way to hide cold sores. Don’t use it in excess, though, as that may draw attention or suspicion! A small dose would be good enough to hide your mark.
- Use your lipstick with a reflection of your lip color. Applying a small amount of your lip color to the sore (if it is directly on your lip) would help blend it in. It may help it seem like it is just your lips! Bear in mind that since the sore is an infection, it would be best to shave a sample of your lipstick and put it on with a disposable Q-tip or lip brush; gently apply.
- Use Lacquer. We all know that as the sore begins to get old, it tends to dry and crack around that area. Having a lip lacquer will keep it moist and prevent the dryness from being exposed.
