What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent make-up is a non-surgical procedure where tiny droplets of custom colors are precisely deposited into the dermal layer of the skin. I use a hand application method. This is designed to provide maximum comfort, fast healing, little touch-ups, and the most natural look in the world.

Permanent make-up is not necessarily intended to replace cosmetics completely. The color is placed "in" your skin not "on" your skin. Therefore, a more natural, soft look results. If you would like a different look, you can apply as much additional make-up as you wish. Look like yourself, only naturally better.

Permanent make-up is ideal for all women, regardless of lifestyle! Imagine waking up with a presentable appearance. Your make-up will be permanent, waterproof, smudge-proof, hassle-free and always fresh!

Common FAQs
– How long does each procedure take?
The initial procedure usually takes from 1 to 2.5 hours. You can schedule a follow-up visit to finalize the shape, color or density of the pigment, and to make sure that the procedure meets your expectations. These touch-ups are done 4-6 weeks later. Colors appear darker immediately following the procedure, but will soften and lighten during healing, which is approximately one week.

– How long does the color last?
Micropigmentation lasts a long time but not forever. As you become accustomed to your new make-up, it is not uncommon to want more. You may want to freshen your make-up every 1 to 5 years (this is done at a substantial discount). The darker the color, the longer it will stay unchanged in your skin. Delicate, natural colors are oftentimes more vulnerable to the effects of the sun, swimming, medications, and breakdown by the body's own natural response.

– Is this procedure painful?
Although everyone's tolerance level is different, most people agree that permanent make-up procedures are far more comfortable than anticipated. Topical anesthetics are used during the treatment to provide comfort.

– Is it safe?
Your safety is of the utmost importance. Strict sanitation and sterilization guidelines are followed by OSHA and the Center for Disease Control. Single-use sterile needles are used with each application. We use only permanent make-up that is made in the USA. A patch test is available for those with sensitive skin.

– Do I have a choice of colors?
Definitely! There’s a wide spectrum of colors you may choose from.

– Do I have a choice in the placement of pigments?
Of course. During your consultation, design and pigment placement will be determined.

– What is involved in recovery?
There will be slight swelling and redness in the skin, which will subside quickly. You may resume normal activities immediately after the procedure. Complete healing takes one to six weeks while the pigmentation matures and reaches its final color
